Recognizing the interconnectedness of environmental, energy, and occupational safety and health matters, CHS has integrated its Environmental Management System, Energy Management System, and Occupational Health and Safety Management System into one unified system. This integrated management operates under its EHS-Energy policy, combining ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 45001, CNS 45001, and TOSHMS standards. The Company effectively implements preventive mechanisms and energy-saving and carbon-reduction concepts to realize its core values of “Respect for Life, Care for the Environment, and Energy Conservation and Waste Reduction.” The EHS-Energy Policy, approved and announced by the Chairman, serves as the Company’s highest guiding principle for promoting relevant activities, with the following six commitments:
Promote health initiatives to raise awareness of personal health management, prevent diseases, and maintain physical and mental well-being.
Comply with EHS-Energy regulations, conduct self-management, proactively identify hazards, carry out risk and opportunity assessments, and manage or eliminate risks.
Show concern for the environment and climate change, implement life cycle environmental assessments, identify pollution sources, prevent pollution, and reduce environmental impacts.
Prioritize energy performance in planning and design, procure energy-efficient products and services, cherish and utilize energy resources wisely, and continuously promote energy-saving and waste-reduction efforts to fulfill corporate responsibility.
Enhance EHS-Energy education and training, improve communication, consultation, and participation with employees, contractors, and stakeholders, and foster harmonious relationships.

CHS has obtained certifications for its Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) and Energy Management System (ISO 50001). In accordance with the “Regulations for the Establishment of the Environment and Energy Management Committee,” the Company has established the Environmental and Energy Management Committee, chaired by the Vice President of the Production Division. Committee members include plant directors, General Manager of the Administration Department, and environmental and energy managers from each plant. The Committee oversees four task groups: Thermal Energy Technology, Electrical Energy Technology, Environmental & Energy Systems and Waste Reduction, and Promotion. Meetings are held once every two months to coordinate and ensure the effective operation of environmental and energy management, and performance is regularly reported to the President.
