Products
CHS produces such products as hot rolled coils, cold rolled coils, and steel pipes and tubes. Products are widely used in hardware, building materials, automobiles, home appliances, sports equipment, steel furniture, the energy industry, and many other industries. The Company has customers ranging from cold rolling mills, galvanizing mills, and pipe and tube mills to other industries such as construction, transportation (e.g., automobiles, locomotives, and bicycles), industrial machinery, electrical and electronic machinery (e.g., home appliances and personal computers). The products are used for the following purposes:
Cold rolled coils
Usage
- Chains, umbrella bones, stationery, rims, galvanization, pipes and tubes, furniture, paint, container boards, panel bending, powder mounting, electroplating, stamping and other electrical appliances, furniture appliances, and automotive industry steel
Hot rolled coils
Usage
- Steel coils for re-rolling such as cold rolled steel sheets and plated (clad) steel sheets
- Mild steel for processing such as containers, hardware, and agricultural machinery
- Structural steel sheets such as structural steel for buildings, bridges, and ship hulls, vehicle components, containers, oil storage tanks, and crane beams
- Steel for manufacturing such as steel tubes for various purposes
